Nur Thai's food is amazing! Crab fried rice: The rice is distinct, the crab meat is fresh and tender, and the combination is superb! Fried fish: Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, the sauce is rich and the taste is rich! Mango sticky rice: The mango is sweet, the sticky rice is soft and glutinous, and it is topped with coconut milk, which is amazing! Fried food with ice cream: A novel combination, a blend of crispy and cool, delicious! Fried rice noodles: Fresh prawns, smooth rice noodles, and authentic taste! Curry beef: The beef is soft and tender, the curry is mellow, and it goes well with rice! The environment is elegant, the lighting is soft, the service is considerate, and the dishes are served quickly.
This was an absolute gratifying experience went here with my brother for dinner and we both loved it. It's a small spot but beautiful decor and service is good. Our host was very attentive and polite. We ordered drunken noodles they were so good and the drink we ordered I forgot the name but it was pineapple flavor was really good. Parking was not that easy to find in this area since it's a busy area. Definitely worth a visit!!
WOW!!!!!! That's the word to best describe this place and what I couldn't stop saying while eating here. I came here with my family for dinner on a Saturday night and everyone enjoyed themselves. To drink I had the Lady of the night, which was brought out under a clear & smoke-filled cloche. It has this cool bubble which can be popped with a rose that is given to you. The entire concept of this drink is super cool and creative! I loved it, and to top it off, the taste was absolutely delicious. The other drinks we ordered were the Paradise and the Thai Iced Tea, both of which were very tasty. For appetizers we ordered the fried chicken dumplings and fried calamari. Both were gone within minutes because of how tasty they were. The sauce that came with the calamari was out of this world. A good mixture of sweet and spicy. For my main course I ordered the fiery chili chicken, which came with a side of jasmine rice. I love spicy food and this chicken was SPICY! I loved it because I'm always searching for food that will pack a punch in the heat department. My family also ordered the prawns, the ribeye, and the shrimp curry. Everyone enjoyed their food so much. For dessert, we got the sampler, and I'm so glad we did because there was something that each one of us enjoyed. Between the mochi, molten lava cake, and the fried rice, we were able to clear the dessert sampler, which was a very generous portion. Aside from the great food and amazing ambiance, the service here was great. Our waitress was extremely attentive and did a great job at suggesting menu items based on our preferences. Jashim & Razib, the owners here, were extremely friendly and welcoming.
Glad I gave this place another try after going to the other location a few yrs ago & being disappointed. Anyway, we got the following mocktails: cucumber cooler ("mint | kafir lime syrup | cucumber syrup | soda | lime"), blue rain ("blue berry | lychee | lime | ruby red grapefruit | blue curacao | pineapple nectar") & passion potion ("mint | lime | kaffir lime syrup | passion fruit nectar | soda"). The latter was the best, sweet, sour, strong, & passionfruity. I couldn't taste the former after having the latter since cucumber cooler was extremely light. Blue rain is sweet but very watered down. I wanted to try wine so I got WHITE CHARDONNAY Lussory - Spain. m I the only weapon who didn't know halal wine exists? This was basically very fermented, sour, apple juice. A disappointment but the server did try to convince me to get a mocktail instead. But ofc I didn't listen. For apps, we got chicken dumplings: "minced chicken | mushroom | carrot | dipping soy sauce". We got 1 steamed & 1 fried. I didn't try the fried one but my cousins liked it better while me & my nephew liked steamed better. Steamed dumplings are always better than fried dumplings. My nephew got pad thai with apparently amazing fried jumbo shrimp that I didn't try. I got Thai ceviche ($18): "jumbo shrimp | octopus | shallot | bell pepper | tomatoes | mango tangy | vinaigrette juice" which was basically like mango chutney/salad with octopus & shrimp. This was really good & somewhat spicy. I also got Bangkok sirloin ($35) which comes in a spicy, sweet mushroom sauce, with broccoli, asparagus, & mushroom. I wuda liked the sauce better if it wasn't spicy or sweet. The meat is seasoned with Asian spices so it's def not your average steak. I got a medium which was very easy to slice, soft, chewy, juicy. My cousins got Rack of lamb ("grilled lamb chops | chu chee curry | steamed vegetable") & a Thai lamb steak. The former is heavily spiced but not as in spicy hot. You definitely still get that lamb taste although it's bearable & not stinky. The latter was hella spicy, . The sauce on the side was extra spicy. For dessert, we got the small Thai disco dessert platter where you can only choose 2 desserts out of a list for $3). I got an extra order of chocolate lava cake with Thai ice cream. I wish the lava cake was more molten. We also got mango sticky rice, chocolate lava with vanilla ice cream & assorted mochi ice cream- strawberry, mango, taro & vanilla. The mango was perfectly ripe & sweet, the rice is dyed green. I didn't try the strawberry mochi ice cream since it was gone by the time I got to the platter but I heard it was the best. Next, is mango which is good. Vanilla is basic & everybody hated taro, lmao. I don't get why taro is a flavor when it literally has like no flavor. Every time I get something taro flavored, all I taste is sugar. Service is really good. They came by to check on us & ask if everything is okay and few times. They gave us a passion potion on the house & made my nephew's bday special by including a chocolate happy bday disc, & a candle. I'll be back soon.
What a great restaurant. I came here on a Monday night, and the service was impeccable. They told us that the original Nur Thai is in Rego Park, so this is an extension. There's a deal here where it's 25% off from 5pm to 7pm on Mon to Thur. The promotion is 25% off of the appetizers and drinks. Regarding the drinks, they only have mocktails. All of their food is halal, which I didn't know Thai food could be. The service was really great. Our waiter was Jazmine, and she helped us pick out appetizers and other dishes that would suit. She gave great suggestions as my diet eliminated a lot of food items. At the end of the meal, when she gave us the check, they forgot to take out the 25% at the end, and we forgot to mention it too. So they returned it back to us. She prob took it out of her tip or something, which was sweet. Food wise, I got for myself the Thai Ceviche, which had loads of seafood inside, and it had good seasoning on it, too. For the table, we got the chicken satay and ribeye jerky. I enjoyed the chicken more as the sauce went well with it. Last but not least, I got the creme brulee for dessert.
The food was AMAZING! The server, Laura, was gentle and great to us! We were celebrating our anniversary and the ambiance was perfect for it, so romantic and cozy Remember there is no alcoholic beverages but their cocktails are cute !!
